John 1:11

The Jewish people had been prepared through centuries of prophecy to receive the Messiah. Most still rejected Him. Rejection is part of Jesus's story.

Memory phrase: His own people turned Him away.

Talk about it: Have you ever been left out or turned away by people you cared about? How do you think that felt for Jesus?

Prayer: Jesus, You came and were turned away. Thank You that You still came anyway, even knowing that. Thank You that You did not give up.
