John 1:8

John was a great man, but not the Messiah. He knew his role. Humility means knowing who we are and who Jesus is.

Memory phrase: John was not the Light.

Talk about it: Why is it important that John knew he was NOT the Light? What would have happened if he thought he was?

Prayer: God, help me remember that Jesus is the special one — not me. Help me point to Him, not myself.
