John 3 — Overview

Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night; Jesus explains being 'born again' by the Spirit; John 3:16 — the most famous verse in the Bible; John the Baptist rejoices that Jesus must increase.

God loves the world so much that He sent Jesus so that whoever believes in Him will live forever.

John 3:16 is the heart of the gospel. Nicodemus was a religious leader who came at night — probably afraid to be seen. Jesus tells him that new life requires being 'born of the Spirit.' v16 is the summary of the whole Bible in one verse. Take your time here.

God loves YOU so much that He sent Jesus. If you believe in Jesus, you will live with God forever.
