Psalms 79:1, The psalmist complains of the desolation of Jerusalem; Psalms 79:8, He prays for deliverance; Psalms 79:13, and promises thankfulness. This Psalm is supposed, with much probability, to have been written on the destruction of the city and temple of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar.
