Psalms 36:1, The grievous estate of the wicked; Psalms 36:8, The excellency of God’s mercy; Psalms 36:10, David prays for favour to God’s children. This Psalm is supposed by some to have been composed by David at the beginning of Saul’s persecutions; but Calmet and others, on good grounds, are of opinion that it was written during the Babylonian captivity.
