Matthew 22:25

Matthew 22:25

The Pulpit Commentary · Joseph S. Exell and contributors · Public Domain

Seven brethren. If the word "brethren" is to be taken in the strictest sense, and not as equivalent to "kinsmen," the case is indeed conceivable, though extremely improbable, especially as at this time the custom had fallen into abeyance, and its rigorous fulfilment was neither practised nor expected.

There is a levity and a coarseness in the question which is simply revolting.
