Lamentations 3:26

Should both hope and quietly wait; rather, should wait in silence. "Silence'' is an expression of the psalmist's (the Lamentations are psalms) for resignation to the will of God; comp. Psalms 62:1 (Hebrew, 2); Psalms 65:1 (Hebrew, 2), and see Authorized Version, margin.

The thought of the verse is that of Psalms 37:7.
